Entrepreneurial Growth

The JAX Chamber’s Entrepreneurial Growth Division, supported in part by the JAX Chamber Foundation, provides mentoring, entrepreneurial education, business consulting, targeted mentoring and networking opportunities designed to support startup, small, and midsize businesses in Northeast Florida.

The Jacksonville Women’s Business Center, Small Business Center and GrowJAX comprise the Entrepreneurial Growth Division and help support a viable entrepreneurial community in Northeast Florida. Small Business Center

Small Business Center

The Small Business Center (SBC) is a department of the JAX Chamber and provides entrepreneurs with the critical skills needed to start and grow a business. Housed at the JAX Chamber, the SBC provides access to information you need to start and grow your business. The library provides:

  • Computers and Internet access available
  • Wireless access
  • Business software
  • Small Business reference materials

The SBC is free of charge and open to the public Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (except holidays)

JAX Bridges

JAX Bridges

JAX Bridges is a program of the JAX Chamber Entrepreneurial Growth Division and is a designed to be a key facilitator for supplier quality and development in Northeast Florida. It helps smaller companies grow and promotes supply chain diversification among corporations. This is accomplished through a series of entrepreneurial activities that prepare small and medium enterprises (SMEs) for growth. During the qualification process, small businesses will perfect plans and strategies through entrepreneurial education, teaming and mentoring.

GrowJax

GrowJax

Designed specifically for second-stage companies, GrowJAX delivers programs and services for established, profitable and growing businesses to promote economic growth in Northeast Florida.

Second-stage companies are defined as those with 10-99 employees and $1-49 million in annual revenue. Qualified business owners and senior executives are able to access top Jacksonville CEOs and expert business advice through a quarterly CEO forum, peer-to-peer roundtables and technical training.

MicroEnterprise Certification

MicroEnterprise Certification

The MicroEnterprise Certification program provides entrepreneurs with counseling and a host of tools to help them ready their business for launch or take it to the next level. At the end of the programs, clients are able to register as a company with Dun and Bradstreet – the most widely used business catalog in the United States. Your DUNS number solidifies your business as a separate entity with its own credit. To receive certification, clients must complete all components of the program.

Small Business Center orientation to introduce you to the resources, tools and training that are available to you through the JAX Chamber Small Business Center.
Entrepreneurial Assessment to help you identify the areas where you need support.

Individual business counseling with SCORE: retired CEOs and experts who will meet with you one-on-one and help you refine your business plan as many times as you need.

Attendance at the four-week Achieve Your Business Dream Series to learn how to start and run a successful business from financials to marketing and everything in between.
