Doing business with institutions is the fastest way for small businesses to grow and scale. JWBC will be introducing a supplier diversity program and initiative to ensure small and diverse businesses have access to business and contract opportunities to ensure they are included in the procurement process.
This program is designed to assist historically underutilized businesses such as minority, woman-owned, veteran and LGBT businesses. Understand supplier diversity programs, what it takes to become a successful vendor and how to leverage these programs to become successful entrepreneurs.
Who should attend: Small and diverse businesses identifying as part of the designated socio-economic group – Minority, women, veteran, LGBT

Meet the Facilitator:
Kathey is a nationally recognized small business strategist and award winning supplier diversity expert. With a career spanning nearly two decades in marketing, small business development, supplier diversity and entrepreneurship, she has assisted numerous minority and women-owned businesses to receive millions of dollars in contract opportunities.
A sought after subject matter expert, Kathey is a frequent keynote speaker, panelist and workshop facilitator at conferences and events focusing on supplier diversity, small business development/entrepreneurship, women’s entrepreneurship and empowerment and diversity and inclusion and has addressed audiences at Inc Magazine’s Inc 5000, Fast Company, Interise, ESSENCE Festival, The Conference Board and MBDA, to name a few. In 2018, she was appointed to the Advisory Council on Small and Minority Business Development for the State of Florida.
An adjunct business instructor, Kathey is an Executive Coach for the Black Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Accelerator at Babson College and served as a business coach for Inc Magazine’s Inc 5000.
One of the few African American women business authors in the country, she is the author of 50 Billion Dollar Boss, which was nominated for an NAACP Image Award and Implementing Supplier Diversity. She is working on a third book to be released in Spring, 2021.
